Our Venues
Artspace Southern Illinois celebrates the cultural arts through our venues and flexible arts spaces—some independently, others in partnership with the community—including galleries, a media and performing arts space, maker’s spaces, and multipurpose venues. All venues are open to the public, and events organized solely by Artspace Southern Illinois are free, allowing everyone to discover and enjoy the arts. Occasionally, we have other events or exhibits at our locations that are hosted by outside groups or supported by us, which may include a fee or need registration, depending on the organizer.
We offer a wide range of art forms, including contemporary and fine art paintings, sculpture, multimedia exhibits, photography, performances, live music, poetry readings, engaging talks, and more. Our events and exhibits give independent artists valuable opportunities to showcase their work, while also welcoming renowned artists to the region.
Through activities and events that invite people of all ages to get involved, we’re proud to offer welcoming spaces for the cultural arts and artists in Southern Illinois.
Proceeds from the sale of many of the original artworks or handcrafted artisan goods, fees, and donations help us continue our dedication to supporting creatives and providing opportunities for people across the region to take in the arts.
Independent artists are encouraged to learn more about opportunities to exhibit their work or host an event.
